Appco Group Australia New Zealand R&R 2011

The R&R conference was held in Port Douglas, Queensland from June 13 to June 19 and discussed a lot of vital issues. 250 delegates took part in the conference that featured many presentations given by leaders and top performers in the organisation. The different divisions within the company- Sports, Support, Pay TV, Prosales and Energy - held separate meetings and discussed points relevant to their particular industry. Prosales held a Q&A style meeting and Vice President Steve Sapsford covered the benefits of training sales force in all areas of the business including B2B, residential and events. The Support Division, led by Vice President Spencer Galbally, discussed ways to approach customers in the field with effective role-playing.
Appco Group Founder and Chairman Chris Niarchos said at the conference, “In our industry and organisation it is crucial to establish a solid foundation for the future with effective business practices. This will enable you to have long term success for several years to come. Understanding how the business operates and showing dedication to the company and your clients is instrumental to being part of Appco Group”.

The R&R conference formally ended on Friday, June 17 afternoon and the delegates had the weekend to explore Port Douglas and enjoy, spending time at the Great Barrier reef, fishing, relaxing on the beach etc.

Appco Group Quaterly Strategy Meeting at Birmingham


Marketing Companies across the UK & Ireland, affiliated to the Appco Group,  attended the meeting held at Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. The meeting proved to be an interactive, educational day, packed with useful information on successful business practices.

Mike Blane, Appco Group Managing Director, gave an introductory speech and welcomed the audience. He spoke about the inspiring and remarkable growth across the UK & Ireland.

“We have made an amazing start to 2011 – revenues and sales are up between 20 to 30 percent across all Divisions," he said.

Founder and Chairman, Chris Niarchos shared candid advice about running a successful business during his session, which backed the inspiring and steady growth of the company.

Appco Group to launch Sports Division in UK

Following the incredible success of the sports division in New Zealand and Australia, Appco Group is all set to launch the Sports Division in the UK.

Appco Group Sports works with some of the biggest sporting organisations and charities. The figures speak for themselves, with more than $30 million AUD raised for the Paralympic Committee alone.

“You can evoke emotions in the public when you talk to them about charitable giving, however when you couple this with sport, something people are typically passionate about, you have a phenomenally successful formula,” explains Anthony.

Anthony Tarquini, Product Owner of Appco Group Sports in Australia and New Zealand, is currently in the UK, where he has just completed a test campaign in partnership with a leading charity.

 “Now we intend to replicate that success in the UK, helping our partners achieve their aims with our industry leading face-to-face fundraising concept”, Anthony added.

Appco Group New Zealand moving along with global technology

Now global news is available straight to your iPhone through Appco Group’s iPhone application. This facility is now available for download from www.apple.com/itunes.

This application also enables users to share their own news stories, with photo or video. The application works on all current versions of the iPhone as long as users have downloaded the iOS 4.0 itunes software update.

Appco App currently only works only on the iPhone and app will be developed further to give user’s access to more information about the Appco Group. An Android version of the app, which will be compliant with the majority of Smartphone’s on the market, is being developed for greater access to many.

Appco Group Chairman Chris Niarchos believes the app demonstrates how much the company is embracing technology to communicate in new and effective ways. He says, “Like all companies we need to move with the times and our Appco App enables us to communicate all of our news as it happens. It also means that we will have great interaction from all of the Field Representatives who are associated to the Appco network around the world."

The team at Appco Group New Zealand is sure to benefit from this application because it increases sharing of ideas and communication among many top leaders and successful entrepreneurs’ worldwide.

Appco Group increasing awareness on Earth Hour

Appco Group became part of a campaign that focused on saving energy. The event was aimed at making a serious point to global leaders that the world wants urgent action to tackle climate change.

The campaign became a cause when hundreds of millions of people turned off their lights for one hour at 8.30pm on Saturday, March 26th. Appco Group partners with a leading charity organisation procuring financial support for its causes, and its network of Fundraisers have been raising awareness of Earth Hour and encouraging the public to take part.

The spokesperson of the charity organisation commented, “People across the world, from all walks of life turned off their lights and came together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.
“It’s a reminder to us all that we only have one planet Earth. And it’s an urgent message that we want to reduce the impact our energy system has on that planet.”

Appco Group NZ Convention concentrates and highlights its valuable human resource

Appco Group New Zealand Convention highlights the talents in the field. The 2011 Convention lead by President Stewart Hartley and New Zealand Country Head Mick Rose focused on the guys in the field and their achievements.


Apart from Sales Achievement Awards, other awards were also presented by overseas guests, including Vice President and Country Head of Australia, Shane Ward, Vice President, Paul Burkett, Organisational Head and Leader of the Sports Division Anthony Tarquini and Product Owner Ben Lyon from APG in Australia.


Two clients were invited to speak to the large crowd of more than 200 delegates who attended at The Great Room at the Langham Hotel in Auckland. The leader in Energy sector spoke of their experience and how valuable The Appco Team is to their business. The crowd was surprised to find that Appco Group NZ’s assistance attributed to 40 per cent of all new acquisitions.


Grant Sharman from Paralympics NZ was introduced to the stage by New Zealand’s Product Owner Regan Vick. After Grant delivered a sensational, uplifting and amusing speech about coaching, Regan presented him with a cheque for $468,624.20 - the total funds Appco Group Sports has raised so far.


Triggered up with the achievements of Appco Group New Zealand and its team the convention came to end with the presentation of the ‘Marketing Company of the Year’ and that went to Regan Vick and his Appco Group Sports Team ‘Global Sports Industries.’

Fundraising campaign hosted by Appco Group New Zealand

Fundraising campaign ‘Pin and Win’ hosted by Appco Group New Zealand launched a third fundraising initiative in Paralympics New Zealand.

The fundraising campaign – ‘Pin and Win’ hosted by Appco Group Sports has been in the Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) since 2009 and the 2011 campaign is expected to make a huge difference to the lives of New Zealand Paralympic Athletes by allowing them to compete and win on the world stage.

The campaign has involved a trained sales team informing people about PNZ and selling PNZ Pins. With the purchase of a PNZ Pin people receive a complimentary scratch card with the opportunity to win instant cash prizes and enter the draw for a major cash prize.

Over the two campaigns conducted by Appco Group, it has raised more than $400k profit for New Zealand Paralympics Athletes. These funds go towards high performance athlete programmes and enables PNZ to support athletes to win on the global dais.

With the professionalism and work ethic maintained by Appco Group New Zealand in the sports segment, PNZ is looking forward to work with Appco Group in 2011 with great expectations.

Appco Group New Zealand honoured by being invited to IPC

Appco Group New Zealand’s sports division was honoured with the IPC invitation where Vice President Stewart Hartley presented medals and gifts to the winners. The event was held from January 21st-30th 2011 in Christchurch, New Zealand. This was an amazing honour to the company as it showed how they appreciated its assistance in Paralympics New Zealand.

Appco Group Vice President Stewart Hartley stated, "This was a wonderful, inspirational event and a reminder that even in adverse conditions you can still strive for success. I was given the honour of handing out medals and gifts for the men's triple jump, women's shot put and women's 100m events, which gave me another opportunity to see firsthand how Appco Group Sports has a positive impact on the lives of many of these athletes.”

Marketing Company Global Sports sent a team of five of the top Independent Contractors including David Munroe, David Gerbault, Sam Nash, Peter Lambe and Glen Harris, who sold over $15,000 worth of supporter's pins in one week. They were all equally impressed with the skills of the athletes and were appreciative of the opportunity to attend.
This was for the first time IPA event was held outside of Europe. Being the second biggest sports event for athletes with a disability, more than 1,000 athletes from more than 81 countries competed in Christchurch's QE II Stadium in one of the last big international events before the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Appco Group New Zealand heads ahead in the sports segment with the marketing practices that bring in holistic development to all.

Appco Group division recognised in their help to develop a foundation’s lottery business

Appco Group Sports has been commended for their work with a foundation’s Lottery business by Director of Lotteries Steve Wallace. Mr Wallace stated that the Lottery business continues to grow rapidly and Appco Group Sports’ efforts have been a major contributing factor to their progress.

Appco Group Sports has been in business with Lottery sales in Queensland since 2003. The sales team is going real great for the sports segment.

Appco Group Sports and Lottery business is gearing up for a big year in 2011 and Appco Group New Zealand and other country divisions have set their marketing systems upright for growth and development.
